Sean Truong, DDS
For Dr. Sean Truong, joining forces with Dr. Douglas was a true homecoming. More than 20 years ago, Dr. Sean launched his orthodontic career alongside Dr. Douglas. After spending the last 15 years running a successful private practice in Las Vegas, he is thrilled to return to his roots. A proud alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Sean earned both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and his advanced specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the prestigious institution. He brings decades of expertise, a familiar face, and a passion for creating beautiful smiles back to the community where it all began.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sean is a proud father of two energetic kids who keep him constantly on the move. On the weekends, you can usually find them making the most of the beautiful Southern California lifestyle—whether they are exploring local hiking trails, joining tennis tournaments, relaxing at the beach, or practicing their green thumbs together in the garden.
Teresa Nguyen, DDS
A born-and-raised Orange County native, Dr. Teresa Nguyen is thrilled to be practicing in the community she calls home. Dr. Nguyen's journey into dental medicine began at UCLA, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. It was during her time as a Bruin that she discovered her true passion for orthodontics. To pursue her dream, she moved to the Sunshine State, completing her advanced orthodontic residency at Jacksonville University. There, she earned both her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized care to help her patients achieve smiles they love.
For Dr. Teresa, the most rewarding part of her work is witnessing the incredible boost in confidence that comes with a smile transformation. She loves seeing the positive impact a beautiful, healthy smile can have on a patient's life, and that daily motivation drives her to provide the highest standard of care. She is incredibly grateful to have joined such a wonderful team dedicated to excellence and looks forward to serving her local community.

Douglas Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Douglas Nguyen has dedicated his career to crafting beautiful, healthy smiles for our community. Dr. Douglas earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Loma Linda University before pursuing his advanced orthodontic specialty residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His passion for the field and dedication to excellence eventually brought him back to his alma mater, where he served for more than five years as a clinical instructor in the UCLA Department of Orthodontics. Today, he combines decades of top-tier clinical expertise with a warm, patient-first approach to give every patient the highest quality of care..

Outside the office, give me water, snow, sand, dirt, rocks... I love it all! Serenity abound kayaking or sailing the SoCal harbors, snowboarding on the local mountains, hiking the coastal and mountainous trails, and exploring and cleaning up the OHV trails in my 4X4."

Financial Coordinator
Having been with the office for many years, since meeting both Doctors in my 20s, I've had the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of our operations – from handling billing and coordinating treatments to even assisting chairside. I find real satisfaction in the billing aspect, especially when I can help parents and patients understand their financial options and make treatment affordable. Navigating insurance plans, HSAs, and FSAs can be challenging for people, so I make it a point to spend time with each family, reviewing their benefits, explaining disclosures, and even coordinating coverages.
When I have some downtime, I am often at tennis tournaments, cheering on my kids, or out exploring the local food scene with my family. One of my favorite things to do is discover new travel destinations and plan our family itineraries. But when I'm not on the go, there's nothing I love more than relaxing at home with my doodle, cuddling up on the couch, and watching my favorite TV shows.

I started my journey with the office at the beginning of 2025 and have been loving it so far! Everyone I work with is very friendly and welcoming. One thing I love about my job is meeting new patients and parents and being able to listen to their interest in starting treatment. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking new meals and traveling! Some of my favorite places I have traveled to are Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and of course my home town in Vietnam!

Our clinical team is made up of professionally trained orthodontic assistants, who work closely with our orthodontists to carry out your treatment plan. They assist with braces placements, adjustments, removals, and are a great resource for answering many of your questions about your care.
