Sean TruOng, DDS
Dr. Sean Truong, DDS completed both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After 15 years of private practice in Las Vegas, Dr. Sean returned to join Dr. Douglas’ office, where he first began his orthodontic career more than 20 years ago.

Teresa Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Teresa Nguyen was born and raised in Orange County. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA, and it was during her time at UCLA that she found her passion in orthodontics. Following dental school graduation, she moved to Florida to pursue her orthodontic training at Jacksonville University where she obtained her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Teresa loves seeing the positive impact she is able to provide by creating beautiful and healthy smiles. Being able to witness the change in confidence with a smile transformation motivates her to provide the best care possible every single day. She is grateful to have joined such a wonderful practice dedicated to providing excellent orthodontic care to the community.

DOUGLAS NGUYEN, DDS
Dr. Douglas Nguyen earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Loma Linda University and continued his advanced training at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he completed his orthodontic specialty residency. He also served for more than five years as a clinical instructor at the UCLA Department of Orthodontics.

Financial Coordinator
Having been with the office for many years, Deanna has played an important role in nearly every aspect of the practice since first meeting both doctors in her 20s. Her experience ranges from billing and treatment coordination to chairside assistance, giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care and office operations.
Deanna especially enjoys helping patients and families better understand their financial options and making orthodontic treatment more affordable and accessible. She takes pride in guiding families through insurance benefits, HSAs, FSAs, disclosures, and coverage coordination, ensuring every patient feels informed and supported throughout the process.
Outside the office, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family — whether cheering on her kids at tennis tournaments, exploring local restaurants, or planning exciting travel adventures together. When she’s not on the go, she loves relaxing at home with her doodle, cozying up on the couch, and catching up on her favorite TV shows.

Being given the opportunity to work with Team Braces over the last couple years has allowed me to grow and blossom. Getting to work in an environment filled with lovely families and patients and creating relations within the office is a rewarding feeling.
