LightForce Orthodontics “generative braces” are a fully customized, 3D-printed braces system. Instead of using standard prefabricated brackets, each bracket is digitally designed for the exact shape of an individual tooth and the patient’s treatment plan. LightForce’s proprietary technology allows Dr. Sean to design your smile at the start of treatment and allow him to visualize the intended final smile from the start.
Each bracket is programmed to guide teeth according to the individual treatment plan, which may improve efficiency and reduce adjustment visits.

Dr. Sean Truong, DDS completed both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
After 15 years of private practice in Las Vegas, Dr. Sean returned to join Dr. Douglas’ office, where he first began his orthodontic career more than 20 years ago.
“Being a father of two energetic kids keeps me active outside the office — and I couldn’t be happier! Our weekends are usually spent exploring local hiking trails, enjoying the beautiful Southern California beaches, and practicing our green thumbs together in the garden.”

Dr. Teresa Nguyen was born and raised in Orange County. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA, and it was during her time at UCLA that she found her passion in orthodontics.
Following dental school graduation, she moved to Florida to pursue her orthodontic training at Jacksonville University where she obtained her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry.

DOUGLAS NGUYEN, DDS

Dr. Douglas Nguyen earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Loma Linda University and continued his advanced training at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he completed his orthodontic specialty residency. He also served for more than five years as a clinical instructor at the UCLA Department of Orthodontics.

When Do You Need to See the Orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that all children have a check-up with an orthodontist specialist no later than age 7. At this time, the bite begins to be established when the first molars erupt (approximately age 6).
The incisors or the front teeth have also begun to erupt at this time, and problems can be detected, such as crowding, habits, deep bites, and some jaw discrepancies. Although most kids do not need treatment at this time, a timely evaluation will lead to significant treatment benefits moving forward and the immediate benefit of a parent's peace of mind. Adolescents and adults with fully developed dentition can seek a consultation from an orthodontist at any time
